Hello and happy November! It’s actually starting to feel like winter here so I’m quite thankful that my house is insulated with a large yarn stash at present.

This week I am releasing the knitting pattern for the adult version of Elana’s Corkscrew Beanie, one of my best sellers. It’s a chunky, cute and cosy hat and a few people had asked for adult sizing for it.

The hat is knit in the round on 5.5mm (US9) needles, using chunky Rowan Cocoon yarn.   This is a simple knitting pattern suitable for a first knit and purl in the round project.

The decreases are hidden in the corkscrew pattern, which spirals all the way up to the top of the hat.  Available in sizes S (53-56cm/21-22.5”), M (57-59cm/22.5-23.5”) and L (60-62cm/23.5-24.4”) this is suitable for both men and women.
